We are looking for a motivated and dynamic individual to join our lung cancer team. As a Macmillan Cancer Support Worker, you will be working alongside clinicians within the multidisciplinary team supporting patients to navigate the complex health and social care system during and following completion of cancer treatment. You will work within the speciality of the clinical nurse specialist team providing patients with personalised care in collaboration with the wider cancer team.

The main purpose of the Macmillan Cancer Support Workers is to support people to navigate the complex health and social care system during and following completion of cancer treatment. The post holder will coordinate care by working collaboratively with the Macmillan Cancer Navigator Service to ensure all patients have a single point of access, including rapid re-entry into the system for those people identified as having urgent or specialist needs; and coordinate care, education and support for people with non-complex care needs. The post holder will work within the speciality Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) team providing patients with personalised care in collaboration with the wider cancer team.
