Transport Administrator

**Role overview**
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our highly successful and growing company as a Transport Administrator. As a key member of our Transport team, you will be responsible for ensuring all administration tasks are completed to a high standard and within the allocated timeframe. You will work closely with the Transport Manager to ensure that all transport activities are monitored and managed effectively, communicating with drivers on shift and update them on working processes and debrief drivers in accordance with company procedures. You will monitor staff performance levels, providing feedback to the employee and Transport Manager or achievements and or concerns to help identify improvement opportunities.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure the smooth running of the transport shift, including appropriate resources are available to meet the planned activity levels
- Assist in vehicle maintenance and monitor all defects and faults updating the weekly compliance board
- Keep all service maintenance records up to date in files and PC systems
- Compiling of reports for all vehicle and driver incidents/accidents
- Ensure vehicles are listed on the ULEZ, London Congestion Zone and Dart Charge accounts and compliant to legislation affecting Kent/Sussex transport.
- Follow company procedures in ensuring any parking tickets are paid in time and any notifications passed to HR for wage deductions
- Ensure Health and Safety compliance and recommendations are up to date
- Liaise with HR on employment law compliance for our Transport Operations
- Implement and adhere to CPC and Tachograph requirements
- Monitor annual leave for rota planning and driver hours/contracted hours
- Monitor staff performance levels, providing feedback to the employee and transport manager on achievements and or concerns to help identify improvement opportunities
- Assist in the recruitment of driving staff as required
- Be responsible for your own personal development and act responsibly and take reasonable cre for the health and safety at work for both yourself and your colleagues.
**Essential Experience and Qualifications**
- Clean driving license
- Ability to communicate effectively with members of staff at all levels
- Proven organisational skills, including planning and problem solving
- Proven record in delivery excellent customer services, including meeting customer expectations
- Flexible working attitude
- Good working knowledge of IT systems including Office 365 software
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £24,382.80 per year
