We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and efficient administrator to join our Cystic Fibrosis team.

This role will support the effective delivery of cystic fibrosis care, including the organisation of annual reviews across the hospital and community interface by providing a high-quality administration/clerical service.

You will be responsible for the extrapolation, interpretation and inputting of data to the cystic fibrosis registry in a timely manner.

- To extract and interpret data from patient records and results from ICE and input them.
- To build a good knowledge of cystic fibrosis related medical terminology and medication, and be able to identify medical conditions based on this information from patient records.
- To monitor and extract data from various multi-disciplinary databases.
- To be able to work well under pressure and to meet strict end of year deadlines set by the CF registry. This will include managing a large workload towards the annual end of the year deadline.
- To be able to maintain a high level of accuracy ensuring all data inputting is correct and to be able to use initiative to seek out missing information. This will ensure smooth running of the payment by results system.
- To be the main point of contact for the CF Registry team and to receive all communication regarding registry updates and queries, considering the need for confidentiality and understanding of the complex nature of cystic fibrosis.
- To support the CF Registry team with regular audits regarding data collection.
- To train, update and liaise regularly with the research and development team members to entre data for the CF START study and any other relevant studies.
- To ensure efficient, effective communication and liaison with nursing and medical staff, and other members of the multi-disciplinary team ahead of submission deadlines, passing on new requirements for data collection to relevant teams.
- To be responsible for the continuous development of data capture and ensuring any new requirements are implemented and the required data is captured.
- To assist in the collection of simple data for the CF Registry eg. Number of cough swabs taken, number of antibiotic courses that year etc.
- To attend the UK CF Registry Annual meeting, to receive up to date training and ideas, sharing knowledge with other delegates and feeding back to the CF Multi-disciplinary Team and the CF Registry team.
- To prepare for local CF centre audits and support Registry Team during audits.
- To capture and input data for the monitoring of new precision medicines, develop a system to update and enter data at least every 4 months.
- To capture and input data for COVID 19 in CF Patients, developing a system in close collaboration with the MDT.
- To be highly organised, motivated and efficient to stay up to date with new requirements and to be able to implement changes where required in close collaboration with the MDT.
- To handle all database queries from the MDT to ensure the team are able to utilise the data that is collected for the department’s own purposes such as service improvement, evaluation and research.
- To organise and prepare annual review appointments using the automated database. This will include organising and co-ordinating investigations under direction of the nursing team, arranging appointment times with the patient/parents and setting up annual review notes.
