- Overview of Role
- Working within the R&Co Payroll team in London, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of the UK and Guernsey payrolls (approximately 2500 employees and pensioners across 9 payrolls)
- Responsibilities- Collate the monthly payroll data and provide to the payroll vendor - via a secure online portal-
- Review and reconcile the output, work with the payroll vendor to correct as necessary and provide the appropriate reports for review and sign off by the Payroll Manager-
- Ensure that all of the relevant deadlines are met and that the payments are reconciled and made on time.-
- Work with the wider Payroll team and other internal / external stakeholders to streamline processes.-
- Provide high quality and timely customer service to employees and other stakeholders across all UK and Guernsey businesses.-
- Assist with the post-Payroll administration i.e. raising third party payments, distributing P45’s, preparing Payment After Leaving letters etc-
- Responsible for the processing of team invoices-
- Prepare month end journals and monitor the SAP GL interface process-
- Shared responsibility for maintaining the team mailbox and answering queries in a timely manner-
- Assisting the Payroll Lead with ad hoc requests-
- Involvement in New Joiner induction process- Experience, Skills and Competencies Required- Must have mid-level UK Payroll experience (5+ years).-
- Must have previously worked within a payroll team environment.-
- Must have a good working knowledge of statutory payroll legislation / payroll calculations in the UK.-
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (Vlookup, Pivot tables)-
- Track record of developing positive relationships with outsourced payroll vendors-
- Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills-
- Good communication skills-
- Proactive and self-motivated-
- Strong analytical skills/critical thinking.Desirable Experience- Working with CloudPay as an outsourced payroll vendor-
