Overview of Role
Working within the R&CoPayroll team in London, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of the UK and Guernsey payrolls (approximately 2500 employees and pensioners across 9 payrolls)
Responsibilities
Collate the monthly payroll data and provide to the payroll vendor – via a secure online portal
Review and reconcile the output, work with the payroll vendor to correct as necessary and provide the appropriate reports for review and sign off by the Payroll Manager
Ensure that all of the relevant deadlines are met and that the payments are reconciled and made on time.
Work with the wider Payroll team and other internal / external stakeholders to streamline processes.
Provide high quality and timely customer service to employees and other stakeholders across all UK and Guernseybusinesses.
Assist with the post-Payroll administration i.e. raising third party payments, distributing P45’s, preparing Payment After Leaving lettersetc
Responsible for the processing of team invoices
Prepare month end journals and monitor the SAP GL interface process
Shared responsibility for maintaining the team mailbox and answering queries in a timely manner
Assisting the Payroll Lead with ad hoc requests
Involvement in New Joiner induction process
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
Must have mid-level UK Payroll experience (5+ years).
Must have previously worked within a payroll team environment.
Must have a good working knowledge of statutorypayroll legislation / payroll calculations in the UK.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (Vlookup, Pivot tables)
Track record of developing positive relationships with outsourced payroll vendors
Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills
Good communication skills
Proactive and self-motivated
Strong analytical skills/critical thinking.
Desirable Experience
Working with CloudPay as an outsourced payroll vendor
Year End processing for the UK including P60, P11d and PSA
