We have an exciting opportunity for a hybrid Transport Administrator role which be based in one of our 3 sites: Bridgwater, Avonmouth and Severn Beach with travel to others on occasion. This role will make a key contribution to the successful delivery of a prestigious contract where Wincanton provide warehousing and distribution for deliveries in to the Hinkley Point C build programme that is playing a key role in Helping Britain achieve Net Zero.

The Transport Administrator will be responsible for the daily formulation of the transport plan and the effective scheduling of own and sub-contracted deliveries in to Hinkley Point C (HPC).

The Transport Administrator work closely with the Operations team as well as Stock and Systems. Utilising Project Delivery Management System (DMS) as well as various other Warehouse Management Systems.

The role will report directly into the Operations Manager

How you will contribute:

- Working alongside colleagues to maintain a Zero Harm safety culture
- Booking, cancelling, and amending delivery slots on the HPC Delivery Management System
- Supporting the Operations team as required
- Filing of timesheets and vehicle documents as appropriate to maintain compliance with legislation
- Management of all transport related compliance matters across the contract
- Management of fleet compliance boards to ensure service arrangements are always up to date
- Production of specific reports for Line Management inclusive of measuring KPI performance
- Attend both client and internal reviews where required to report on departmental performance
- Undertaking Risk Assessments as required to enable the successful delivery of equipment
- Assisting the Contract Operations Manager and Compliance Manager in closing out all reports on Wincanton and client systems
- Any other reasonable duties as requested by your line management

What you will bring:

- Hands on approach and to be able to accept and deliver change where necessary
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems, PowerBi and Manhattan: desirable
- Experience of working within a logistics environment is desirable
- People focused, with the ability to engage at all levels across the Wincanton and client organisations
- Knowledgeable in Health & Safety legislation
- Works to a high standard of detail meeting deadlines, with a good ability to prioritise
