The Defence Digital Corporate Governance and Assurance team sit within the Shared Services area within the Finance directorate. The aim of our team is to highlight the effectiveness of internal controls within the organisation and to recommend remedial actions and improvements. We also provide assurance to the Senior Leadership Team that policies and procedures are being followed throughout the organisation. We also provide any advice or guidance to staff on processes, policies and procedures. Most of our team’s output is fed into Strategic Command and the Audit, Risk and Assurance committee.

The Contracting, Purchasing and Financing (CP&F) tool was introduced to the MOD community in December 2016. Its aim is to deliver a single end-to-end e-Procurement capability, that provides a modern and transformed Procurement to Payment process. This includes managing commercial and financial activity, and delivering management information from a single, reliable source. The Digital Defence Corporate Governance and Assurance Team are responsible for processing all account requests and amendments for the CP&F tool across the organisation.

This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station which is based on business assessment of where the work is best done) and working remotely.

**Job description**:
The Operational Support role sits within the Corporate Governance and Assurance Team, reporting to the Compliance Manager. Looking at a varied and exciting range of topics, whilst working individually and as part of a small team. You will be required to follow processes and complete a range of activities. We are looking for a driven, self-motivated individual.

Responsibilities include:

- Review and Validate new Accounts / Amendments to Accounts on CP&F.
- Respond to any questions or queries sent into the UKStratCom DD-CPF Accounts (MULTIUSER) Multi-User inbox.
- Own and Maintain the Defence Digital CP&F SharePoint portal that can be used for users to request new accounts, amendments to accounts and can read any Specific information that relates to CP&F with Defence Digital.
- Co-ordinate the publication of a bi-annual Governance and Assurance Team newsletter for Defence Digital, providing insight and information on areas of interest across the organisation.
- Ensuring all compliance checks are completed and complete monthly reviews of all Defence Digital Temporary and Permanent Allowances & Advances of Salaries.
- Administration for the Governance and Assurance Team.

**Person specification**:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a friendly disposition, possessing good communication skills with good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work.

You will need to be confident and able to work under pressure whilst working collaboratively with your team. Much of the work will be data interpretation, therefore having excellent analytical and digital skills is essential. You will have good attention to detail, good accuracy skills and able to collect and manage evidence.
