This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station which is based on business assessment of where the work is best done) and working remotely. However, you will be required to attend both the Corsham and London sites.

**Job description**:
Defence Digital Transformation is an ambitious and complex portfolio of activities, that collectively seek to drive improvement and enable delivery of the Defence Digital strategy. Helping to certify Defence’s ability to achieve the outcomes stated in the digital strategy, and ensuring Defence is digitally different.

You will be working in a fast paced and innovative team, made up of portfolio and programme transformation specialists, and will find yourself at the forefront of enabling the delivery of Defence Digital’s transformation agenda maturing the Digital Strategy Delivery Plan, overseeing and contributing to business change exploitation and transformation engagement while also working across the piece ensuring risks, issues and conflicts are managed, addressing the softer elements, and being central in driving initiatives for cultural and organisational change.

**Responsibilities**:

- Contributes towards maturing the Digital Strategy Delivery Plan.
- Contributes towards enabling transformation change.
- Assists with scoping change and delivers some elements of business change.
- Manages the change task backlog and roadmap.
- Provides communications expertise within the team and delivers transformation communications and engagements. Assists with the management of the transformation communications working group.
- Provides support to regular transformation programme meetings.
- Scheduling - maintains delivery momentum. Drives the team and pace, ensuring the team are working towards delivery commitments/objectives.
- Manages agile working practices within the team by managing agile ceremonies e.g., daily stand-ups.
- Planning - maintains delivery planning for the agile sprints.
- Develop and manage professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Engaging to enable accurate, transparent, mature, and relevant programme data and RAIDO products.
- Manages corporate reporting for transformation.
- Champions change management & best practice and contributes towards building buy in, support and momentum for change within the organisation and making it stick.
- Monitors and manages strategic risks raised against the Defence strategic outcomes (6).
- Manages and maintains the transformation team’s mapped BAU processes and onboarding/off boarding. Provides business support to the wider transformation team in a variety of engagements/meetings.
- Be involved in a range of programme management activities in support of the senior managers in the team.

**Person specification**:
The role of the Project Support Officer covers a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of the teams’ objectives. The Project Support Officer enables the smooth running of the Teams objectives by supporting the team through the operation of transformational processes, and the co-ordination of business management actions and activities on their behalf.
