**Job description**:
Do you have Project Manager experience and are looking for a challenge?

We are looking for a dedicated project manager to fulfil the project role to oversee schedule and risk management responsibilities for multiple PFI expiry projects. This will include establishing programme ways of working and supporting the wider team to ensure best practise is followed.

DIO is establishing a brand-new programme team across multiple locations to lead the expiry process of multiple Private Finance Initiative (PFI) Contracts which look after critical Defence estates. Deputy PMs will need to be hard-working individuals with experience of project management and a willingness to bring new insights to the organisation for this exciting and high-profile role.

The role offers project managers the chance to improve and learn new skills including resource management, industry engagement and working with other government departments such as Infrastructure and Project Authority (IPA).

**Person specification**:
**Main Responsibilities**
- Assist with preparation, execution, and monitoring of Exit project management plans inc schedule Microsoft Project format.
- Risk management - organise risk review workshops and maintain active risk management through risk and issues registers.
- Generate and maintain programme artefacts with the deputy programme manager including ensuring programme governance is in place.
- Stakeholder management - prepare and maintain stakeholder management plans and actively engage as necessary with all relevant internal and external partners.
- Compile and provide reports and ad-hoc updates on activity and progress of requirements.
- Assist and facilitate activities associated with the expiry or termination of a contract and the transitioning of assets.
- Contribute to Data and asset information management: in accordance with policy.
- Monitor compliance with MOD and DIO policy, determine actions to address significant risks using the Governance chain.

**Desirable Experience & Skills**
- APMP or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project.
