**Position**:Logistics Coordinator + Workshop Assistant

**Location(s)**:Leeds-based warehouse/office/workshop
**Days/times**:5 x 6hr shifts per week. Overtime available. Mon - Fri; flexible between the hours of 8am **- **6pm
**Reporting to**:Ian Emberton (Owner, and Technical Sales Director) + Caroline Kindy (HR & Business Development)
**Working alongside **A small team comprising admin, book-keeping, systems design, solar technicians
**Salary**: £11 - £13 per hour depending on experience
**Pensions**: Xerogrid contribute 3% of your salary to a Nest pension scheme
**Holidays**:Statutory (5.6 weeks annual allowance)
**Cycle-to-work**:Available for all employees following trial period

**Overview of role and type of person we’re looking for**:
Xerogrid is a small operation with big ambition in a crucial stage of strengthening systems and procedures to support our rapid growth.

We’re looking for someone to hit the ground running and to keep the logistics under tight control. Working within a small team, and primarily dealing with suppliers (not customers), this role suits a person with an ability to multitask, including avoiding stressful logistics situations. Xerogrid uses Sage 50 v29 with the Stock Control Module.

The focus of this job is for warehousing & logistics, where you’ll be responsible for performing various tasks related to the handling, storage, ordering and distribution of goods and products.

A secondary function of the role is in the pre-assembly of components for solar PV and battery storage systems (no electrical knowledge required). This requires someone who is practical and dexterous with an ability to follow instruction in a methodical nature to a high standard and required deadline.

**Key Deliverables**

**Warehouse/workshop management**
- Continual improvement of warehouse/workshop layout & functionality according to the needs of the business
- Ongoing responsibility for ‘clean, safe, tidy and secure’ warehouse environment, according to H&S policy
- Storing and organisation of goods and products in the warehouse (procedures to be developed)
- Please note, dangerous goods include lithium and lead-acid batteries

**Stock control and goods-in**
- Ordering new stock when low levels of core range are indicated
- Ordering stock for customer orders, using various suppliers trade portals
- Booking stock in to ensure stock levels are correct
- Updating supplier price lists on company stock control system (Sage)
- Receiving and unloading incoming shipments of goods and products
- Inspecting and verifying the accuracy of the items received against purchase orders or invoices
- Conducting inventory counts and maintaining accurate records of goods and products

**Packing & dispatch of website sales and customer orders**
- Retrieving and preparing items for shipment or delivery to customers, using appropriate broker/courier for UK and International cartons and pallet freight.
- Loading and off-loading from vehicles includes pallets, heavy/fragile loads (including solar panels) (basic lifting equipment provided)
- Ensuring orders are shipped in a timely manner, with the correct packaging and shipping information, updating customers with tracking info and dispatch notes if required
- Operating material handling equipment such as manual pallet jacks/pump trucks
- Communicating with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and accurately
- You might be required to deliver kit direct to customers in the company van

**Systems pre-assembly**

Xerogrid sell pre-configured systems (often in data cabinets). Some customers require them to be partly or fully pre
- assembled. There will be a requirement to assist with this, with guidance and instruction from an in-house fully qualified solar technician. Components include - solar panels, inverters, charge controllers, lithium batteries, cable, switches, monitoring devices, data cabinets.

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to quickly get to grips with delivery company portals & procedures
- Ability to quickly understand Sage 50 Stock Module
- Comfortable working with material handling equipment
- Excellent communications skills with co-workers and supervisors and logistics staff
- Manually capable of assembling Solar PV and battery system components to a high standard

**Experience**
Minimum 2 years previous experience working in a warehouse environment. Understanding of electrical components desirable

**Full UK Driving licence**

Stock control software essential

Microsoft Office suite essential
Microsoft Teams desirable
