**Job summary**:
Here at Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) we are an inclusive and dedicated team responsible for medical support to Portsmouth Naval Base. This includes Primary healthcare as delivered by HMS Nelson Medical Centre.

We are looking for an organized, enthusiastic and adaptable Administration Officer (AO) with excellent communication and IT skills to join our team at HMS Nelson Sickbay, Queen Street, Portsmouth, PO1 3HH.

**Person specification**:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Being the practice point of contact for enquiries relating to the use of the Electronic Referral System (ERS).
- Directing the Administration (admin) Assistant (AA) in the completion of the their tasks.
- Acting as a point of contact within the Medical Centre for all matters regarding Hospital Appointments and to maintain good communication with all hospital departments we refer patients to.
- Assisting the uniformed personnel within the MC as required to ensure appropriate grading changes are actioned in a timely manner.
