Wills Bros have an opening for a Community Liaison Officer to lead contractual and community benefit initiatives for our site in the Scottish Highlands.

**Job Location**:Based on our site near Inverness - some travel may be required

**Essential**:

- Confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Experience of using digital tools to encourage positive engagement
- Full valid driver’s licence essential (travel involved on occasion)
- Can do/will do attitude

**Core Day-to-Day Duties**
- Work closely with site management teams to implement plans. Ensure effective delivery of plans and troubleshoot problems and delays
- Work closely with the company Recruitment and HR Manager with onboarding, mentoring and reviews of new entrants, apprentices and graduates for the successful delivery of employment & skills targets
- Report & monitor project community benefit KPI’s
- Prepare and input into monthly reports for Management and Clients
- Integrate and involve the supply chain in achieving community benefits and employment & skills delivery plans to embed a positive community benefits ‘culture’ within the project
- Lead Stakeholder Engagement and Public Liaison requirements as required
- Champion good ideas with regard to corporate social responsibility and charitable work in the community
- Act as an organisational champion for Equality and Diversity in achieving Employment and Skills targets
- Drafting communication and engagement plans, project newsletters, advanced works notification letters, and updating project information boards, etc.
- Be the first point of contact for any project enquiries, ensuring any issues are resolved quickly and effectively within the target timescales
- Ensuring all Stakeholders are kept informed of the progress of works
- Ensure a high level of customer care is achieved
- Co-ordinating and attending events such as meet the contractor, careers fairs, and school engagement events.

**Driving Best Practices within the company**
- Identify record and disseminate best practices and innovative approaches to community benefit delivery plans for knowledge sharing and retention
- Provide project management teams with best practice advice to achieve targets
- Working with the project team to achieve a Certificate of Excellence from the Considerate Constructors Scheme
- Promote value for money in achieving goals and targets
- Build up strong relationships with social enterprises, charities and employment schemes.

**Liaising with third parties**
- Liaise with local authorities and client communication managers in relation to community engagement and governmental procurement targets
- Build and develop strong partnerships with local communities and multiple agencies such as Community Councils/Educational and Employment Providers/Businesses/Community Groups
