The Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team are a city wide service, providing 24 hour support to people who are experiencing a mental health crisis. We are excited to have the opportunity to recruit two part time Peer Recovery Workers in the team. The CRHTT is an alternative to hospital admission and we are keen to improve the care and experience of service users with a psychosis when in crisis. We are looking for individuals with lived experience of a mental health that is based on psychosis. You will have a passion for the improvement of mental health services and an interest in working alongside a dedicated and busy team.

ThePeer Recovery Worker will support the short term interventions offered by CRHTT to service users to help optimise Relapse Prevention, early warning signs and WRAP plans.

Developing group work with the focus on understanding symptoms, relapse prevention and building social networks for Service Users. To seek Service user and Carer feedback in order to look at service improvement within the CRHTT.

To work alongside the team in developing and delivering training with the focus on service user experience.

To take an active role in the development of the team with the leadership team in order to improve service user experience

1. To draw upon the lived experience of using mental health services to enhance the approaches offered to service users in the Home Treatment Team (HTT) to support them during their crisis.
2. Whilst the post is to support all service users within the HTT, the post will have a specific focus on those Service users who have a Psychosis
3. Contribute to the collaborative planning and review of goals with service users and team members
4. To work closely with colleagues as part of the team, supporting a service user with their care within the Home Treatment Team
5. To work as part of the team supporting the families or carers of someone who is experiencing a crisis.
6. To assist in the provision of specific groups for service users designed to support them and their families during a crisis
7. To assist in the delivery of training across all levels and to all staff groups, alongside other team members
8. To assist in the audit and evaluation of services provided by the HTT
