**About the role**

We’re searching for a **Head of Asset Strategy **to join our friendly and hard-working Property Services department at A2Dominion. This role is an integral part of the Senior Management Team of Property Services and working with the other Heads of Service, both within Property Services and across the business, ensures the delivery of effective asset management and property services to all the Group assets.

This person plays a pivotal role in the delivery of the Asset Management Strategy and retains specific responsibility for the “Asset Strategy” workstream of Property Services leading the Asset Strategy Team to collect, analyse, appraise asset data and intelligence to produce investment and divestment forecasts for A2dominion’s assets.

**Key responsibilities**:

- As a senior manager of A2Dominion champion and promote the core values of the business, Caring by Nature, Working Better together and Thinking of tomorrow and demonstrate these values in intent and behaviour in all interactions
- A member of the Asset Senior Management Team, supporting the Asset Director in ensuring the effective culture, direction, leadership, and delivery of all aspects of the service and deputising for the Asset Director when necessary
- Develop and manage effective performance management arrangements across the service and ensuring the regular monitoring and reporting of appropriate performance indicators, standards, and targets
- Commission 20% per annum stock condition surveys to ensure asset and particular component data is continually robust
- Leading on the development and implementation of service improvements and corporate initiatives to deliver innovative and modern services that meets need of the business, its customers, and stakeholders, including managing the implementation of alternative products, contracts, and IT systems
- Providing vision and leadership to AS team by managing people, performance, development, health and wellbeing issues and resources effectively and in line with relevant policies and procedures.
- Actively manage and monitor the property portfolio, ensuring that performance is optimised by developing, implementing and maintain tools that enable the accurate, ongoing relative assessment of property performance, cognisant of the differing drivers, standards and outcomes required for A2Dominion’s varied markets
- Presentation of short-, medium
- and long-term financial forecasts, based upon the investment profile of the stock portfolio
- Devise and present option appraisals to inform business decisions to invest or divest in assets
- Develop tactical asset management plans in conjunction with the Asset Director and regional staff, ensuring they meet the aspirations of the Group Asset Management Strategy
- Facilitate the stock rationalisation programme and deliverables, working closely with the Head of Property Transactions to prepare reports for stock rationalisation and disposal to ensure that appropriate and informed asset management decisions regarding the stock are made to ensure the best use of resources
- Using asset intelligence, facilitate and oversee asset data performance, investment planning and cost benchmarking and oversee and endorse the key link-throughs for data integrity for Operations and Finance, to prepare the overall investment profile and forecast, and programme commissioning for Property Services

For this role, we’re looking for someone with the following:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent and / or professionally qualified in a management or Building, asset management related discipline and / or the ability to demonstrate relevant experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to be organised and work methodically with attention to detail to meet targets and deadlines
