About the team

Corporate Relations (CR) has a critical leadership role in protecting and promoting Diageo’s reputation and licence to operate, working to unlock value in service of our Performance Ambition. The work of the function contributes directly to our ambition to become the best performing, most trusted and respected consumer goods company in the world.

The Global Employee Engagement team sits within Global Brand and Communications team (GBC), which is a centre of excellence within the CR function. The GBC team is responsible for the development and delivery of an integrated reputation, communications, and engagement strategy and is accountable for: internal communications and employee engagement; external PR, media relations and press office communications; financial communications; global supply communications; Brand Diageo (our corporate brand); and the management of issues and crisis communications.

About the role

The role requires excellent collaborator and project management skills. Being a highly collaborative teammate who is comfortable leading multiple projects simultaneously is also critical.

Sitting within the Global Employee Engagement team, the role requires someone collaborative and highly organised who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

It’s key that you have a track-record managing internal, digital channels, as well as creating and sourcing compelling content. Driving continuous improvement through the use of data and insights is also a key component of the role.
- Key responsibilities_
- Ensure strong air traffic control across global channels, leading the team’s news grid
- Create global news content to ensure that we have a steady drumbeat news, representing Diageo’s strategic priorities across all parts of the business
- Actively moderate conversations' content on Yammer
- Provide advice for leaders and colleagues globally on how to maximise engagement using internal social media
- Encourage and support creation of impactful user-generated content for internal channels
- In partnership with the Head of Digital Channels and Experience, drive adoption campaigns to increase usage of internal social media
- Ensure embed of Brand Diageo through our digital channels
- Run Mosaic on a day to day basis, ensuring that content is updated in line with the news grid
- Ability to support editing of key content produced by key stakeholders and wider team to ensure that it meets the highest of standards prior to being shared through global channels
- Ability to edit and film short videos in-house
- Partner with D&T to ensure our internal digital channels have the day-to-day support required to ensure a stable user-experience
- Partner with key third parties such as Microsoft, Poppulo and WM Reply to ensure we maximise value from these relationships in order to improve our offering

About You
- Experience of key digital channels utilised within Diageo, including Sharepoint, Poppulo, Yammer, MS Teams and Zoom
- Exceptional social media skills, ranging from the technical to what good looks like in terms of content
- Strong working knowledge of digital and social media to drive reach an impact
- Outstanding governance and management of global news - ensuring robust processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify and lead third parties, ensuring that we get the best out of our agency relationships
- Excellent collaborator and project management skills
- Shown experience operating within agile, cross-functional teams (ideally globally)
- Excellent relational, influencing and interpersonal skills
