**We have a fantastic opportunity for a Safety, Health & Wellbeing (SHaW) Business Partner to work closely with the business and really make a difference.**

The SHaW Business Partner will play a pivotal role in ensuring safe working practices across our portfolio and drive a positive safety, health and wellbeing culture. They will set, support, guide, and influence managers to create a common and consistent approach to all health, safety and wellbeing matters, aligned to UPP’s values and behaviours. This will involve proactive management of change and seeking out ways to help our teams fulfil their responsibilities as leaders.

Working with the Head of Safety, Health and Wellbeing in the provision of and embedding communication, consultation, participation, maintenance and monitoring of our externally certified Health and Safety Management System as well as the organisations Occupational Health Programme and Wellbeing Programme.

These three critical elements of the role will drive down injury and ill health through a robust and systematic approach that proactively drives our safety, health and wellbeing culture forward.

The SHaW Business Partner will work closely with the operational leadership communities across UPP, building a deep understanding of UPP’s operating models, risks and challenges, service solutions and UPP’s forward strategy that focuses on continuous improvement.

Alongside this, the role will thrive on new ideas, challenge traditional methods of working, whilst winning the hearts and minds of both internal and external stakeholders, providing hands on advice for those that need it, at all levels of the organisation.
This hybrid role is based from our award winning London office with regular travel to our sites.

**We are looking for**:

- A positive, innovative and forward-thinking professional with strong leadership and demonstrable experience of implementation of safety, health and wellbeing process, policies and systems
- Confidence and ability to provide guidance/advice whilst addressing workplace concerns and accident investigations within the organisation at all levels and have experience of developing and delivering effective health and safety training
- Excellent communication and coaching skills; able to advise, persuade, influence and, when appropriate, challenge with tact and diplomacy
- Analytical skills to understand data and information, and to present the findings, identifying areas of risk, opportunities & solutions
- Ability to think strategically and generate innovative ideas whilst also getting into the detail; translating health and safety knowledge into actions and to use knowledge to anticipate business requirements
- An industry recognised health and safety qualification with membership of IOSH
