**Job summary**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work alongside the Waiting List Booking Teams as a Galaxy and UltraGenda System Administrator. This post is full time, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday and will be based at Solihull Hospital.

This role will be responsible for maintaining and updating the Theatre sessions on Galaxy and UltraGenda and will include:

- ensuring the correct consultant is named on the individual sessions for each theatre across site
- updating Galaxy/UltraGenda with any rota changes of surgeons sent through from the Ops

Teams of multiple Specialities,
- closing/reopening of theatre sessions on Galaxy /UltraGenda in line with consultant availability

(adhering to the 6-4-2 theatre booking policy)
- enabling theatre sessions to be unlocked at short notice to allow changes to be made by the

Waiting List Co-ordinators for any cancellations or additions to the theatre lists.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
For this role, we need an enthusiastic and dynamic person who:

- Has a good working knowledge of Galaxy and UltraGenda theatre systems
- Is able to work to a high level of accuracy
- Is able to work under pressure and at a fast pace
- Can create databases to collect and monitor information to assist with the collection and

provision of statistical data as required and the ability to extract, manipulate, analyse complex

data sets and communicate then in an easy manner to understand.
- Is able to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Can communicate effectively and build good working relationships with the different

stakeholders who will be interacting with this post holder
- Is able to organise and prioritise own workload
- Will be confident in dealing with people and staff of all levels
- Can demonstrate an understanding of equality and diversity

**Essential**:

- Good General Education (eg. GCSE English and Maths A-C) GCSE Level 9-4
- Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative environ

**Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (eg.Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Experience of using Trust IT systems,Galaxy and UltraGenda
- Experience of working in an Administrative role with a proven track record of problem solving
- Experience of working in a busy environment
- Able to use own initiative and deal with the unpredictable
- Able to work under pressure and to multi-task
- Able to work to deadlines
