Location: Agile - Home working or office based across NYP / NYFRS estates including Head office in Northallerton
Hours: Full Time, Fixed Term contract for 12 months Mon
- Thurs 8.30-5pm and Fri 8.30-4.30pm

We currently have a 12-month fixed term contract available to join our People Services team as a Systems Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity to work across emergency services, supporting North Yorkshire Police, North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service and the Office of the Police, Fire & Crime Commissioner (OPFCC).
As People System Administrator you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring the effective development and delivery of a high performing systems which adds real value to front line services through data and results. This role will bring great pride and job satisfaction, through the services and support you will provide to two of North Yorkshire’s emergency services. You will make a real difference to the safety of everyone who works, travels, visits and lives in York and North Yorkshire. **Duties & Responsibilities will include**:
- Responsible for providing high quality, credible and timely systems support services, delivering excellent customer service
- Effective maintenance, configuration, upgrading and management of HR systems
- Undertake regular evaluation of data quality and accuracy of information, working with key stakeholders to identify and resolve problems
- Contribute to the design, development, testing and delivery of reports that enable the production of accurate, relevant, and timely people data
- Respond to queries and provide advice, coaching, guidance or signposting to internal and external customers on system support services, functionality, key procedures, and processes as appropriate.
- Contribute to or undertake research or project work on key issues or specific initiatives as required.
You’ll have outstanding customer service, problem solving and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with a broad range of diverse customers across a variety of platforms.
You will have demonstrable experience of delivering high quality, customer orientated services to meet required SLAs and KPIs, ideally in a high-volume environment.
Experience of an Oracle based HR System, ideally Origin, using data query and extraction tools, or designing and developing system reports would be beneficial, but not essential.
