**About the Role**:
Ambrose Avenue Group Practice has an opportunity for a facility admin officer to complement and sit alongside our current practice manager.

The responsibilities of the role include:

- responsibility for all aspects of the practice facilities management and ensuring the cleanliness, safety and security of the practice buildings and grounds.
- supporting the practice infection control lead, to ensure that they are fulfilling all requirements concerning infection control within the practice and that the appropriate records are kept, e.g. fridge temperatures, room checks, etc.
- ensuring that the premises are clean and in good internal and external repair.
- establishing and maintaining a practice inventory of contents (including fixtures, fittings, and consumables) for claims assessment.
- ensuring that basic facilities, such as water and heating, are well-maintained.
- organising buildings and contents insurance for practice premises
- organising formal clinical stock checks at regular intervals.
- managing stock purchases for clinical supplies, PPE and practice stationery.
- overseeing the procurement of practice equipment, supplies and services.
- reviewing health & safety policy and procedures, initiating changes to ensure practice compliance.
- overseeing and agreeing on contracts, with partners’ authorisation, for services including security, parking, cleaning, catering, technology, etc.
- responsibility for practice keys and maintaining a log of which staff have keys.
- ensuring that all statutory elements of health and safety are complied with, and undertaking responsibility for monitoring emergency supplies and equipment.
- undertaking the operation and periodic checking of the fire alarm system and initiating and recording six-monthly fire drills.
- carrying out staff risk assessments and referrals to occupational health if required.
- Experienced administrators, with excellent IT and typing skills;
- Adaptable and friendly, with strong administration, time management and organisational skills;
- Excellent communicators able to work in a confidential and discreet manner;
- Able to "think on their feet" in a busy working environment;
- Able to multi-task, work hard and maintain a high level of attention to detail, when under pressure;
- Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as comfortable working independently.
