We're looking for a Head of Marketing - Festivals to join our team in London as part of our Marketing function.

Your role: You will lead on marketing strategy, planning and execution for the Festival and Awards. Working closely with the functional teams, particularly content and commercial, and the product leads, VP of Events and Head of Awards Engagement.

You will work in partnership with the wider LIONS’ marketing and creative team and will collaborate with group functions such as digital marketing and video production teams.

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is the world’s leading event for the marketing, advertising and media industry taking place every June in Cannes since 1954. More than 13,000 delegates from over 100 countries meet at the festival to understand and harness the power of creativity, connect with one another, and partner. Importantly, they want to see what creative excellence looks like across all areas of marketing and business: for 70 years the Festival has awarded the best creative marketing ideas. The Cannes Lions awards are regarded as the benchmark in creativity in marketing, advertising and media.

Key Responsibilities
- You’ll own marketing strategy, go-to-market planning and execution of Cannes Lions Festival and Awards marketing year-round.
- You’ll collaborate with our regional festival teams and advise on marketing strategy and planning.
- Identify impactful product positioning, key messaging, and effective targeting strategies using existing customer personas.
- You’ll stay close to customers, communicating with customers and internal stakeholders regularly to develop an insight-led marketing strategy that answers clear customer needs.
- Achieve revenue goals through effective delivery of marketing objectives for customer acquisition and retention.
- You’ll line-manage a team of two, delivering awards & regional festival marketing.
- Work closely with Creative, Press and Digital Marketing teams, writing briefs that enable the delivery of a world-class marketing campaign.
- You’ll report regularly on campaign activity to all levels of stakeholder across the business.
- Partner with internal event, content and commercial teams to support on-site experience and drive customer-led experiences, building a clear activity schedule with clear timelines, milestones and KPIs. You’ll work with the Partnerships Marketing Manager to ensure smooth delivery of all commercial partner marketing obligations, baking partner engagement into Festival strategy & planning.

Your Experience
- Strong experience in marketing, ideally working on or close to an event
- Experience of developing and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Good knowledge of the creative communications industry is advantageous
- You excel in stakeholder management, you’re an expert communicator and you’re comfortable setting clear channels of communication and managing expectations across multiple teams
- Experienced as a presenter, both in person and virtually
- Experienced briefing internal creative teams or agencies
