Head of Events Marketing – International B2B Conferences – London


This role is hybrid, with 2 days in the Central London office per week.


NB - you must have 5+ years of B2B Events Marketing experience to be considered for this role.



This is an exciting opportunity to join a market leader in information and intelligence products as a Head of Events Marketing. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns for a high-value global portfolio of international Conferences & Events, within the Global Tech sector.


There will also be opportunities to travel to these events in the US, Middle East, Europe and Asia.


Requirements:


  • 5+ years of B2B Events marketing experience, ideally within tech, financial services, fintech, media, publishing or similar sector
  • Planning and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Experience with managing website CMS
  • Experience managing a small team of event marketers
  • Writing compelling messages for different audience segments
  • Using a marketing automation tool - Hubspot, Pardot, Marketo, or similar
  • Using a CRM system, ideally Salesforce
  • An understanding of Google’s suite of products
  • Experience in digital marketing techniques and channels
  • Establish a data-driven approach to strategic and tactical decision making
  • A proven record of testing, measuring and evaluating marketing channels to optimise spend and demonstrate ROI
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate performance metrics, challenges and opportunities to the event project team


Reporting to the Marketing Director, your responsibilities will be to:


  • Campaign planning and execution for events across email, social, website and advocacy tools
  • Drive delegate and sponsorship revenues through innovative marketing campaigns
  • Copywriting for email, web, social and digital advertising
  • Creating email campaigns and landing pages
  • Working with the Marketing Executives to create compelling social content and continue to drive LinkedIn followers and engagement
  • Managing the database for events including segmentation, data capture and lists
  • Managing website updates and optimisation throughout the campaigns
  • Managing Editorial newsletter updates (banners etc)
  • Managing content marketing campaigns for video interviews conducted at events
  • Writing and coordinating copy and creative briefs for event collateral as well as onsite signage
  • Weekly reporting of campaign activity against KPIs and benchmarks
  • Attending regular weekly meetings with internal stakeholders to discuss campaign performance, recommendations and establish the upcoming campaign schedule
  • Completing thorough campaign reports that detail contextualised results and that make recommendations for future execution
