AIXTRON is a world leading manufacturer of semiconductor equipment with a facility in Cambridgeshire that manufactures key MOCVD (Metal Organic Chemical Vapour Deposition) systems for the group. Our MOCVD systems are used to produce (opto) electronics for 5G, fibre communications, lasers, LEDs for displays and power electronics for electric vehicles and chargers.

The role is to offer direct support to all SAP MRP (material requirements planning), production planning functions and purchasing functions. A key role within the operations team in ensuring process accuracy of the business MRP tool relating to production demand and manufacturing resources capacity.

We would consider someone in an Administrator or Planning-Coordinator type role who is looking to take the next step in their career and develop.

**Objectives and Responsibilities**:

- SAP production planning and control support, with understanding & knowledge of MRP and production orders material management metrics, material usage, obsolescence, etc.
- Ownership of production related material master data including maintenance and accuracy
- Operational interface with areas of the wider business e.g., resolve BoM errors, BoM duplicates, missing data, etc.
- Production scheduling plan and control
- Manufacturing resource planning and control
- Using SAP reports to control planning objectives
- One of AIXTRON Ltd’s SAP champions to drive Operational improvements

**Desirable Skills**:

- SAP working experience
- Experience within a manufacturing environment and material management processes
- Understanding of manufacturing principles
- Understanding Lean principles (JIT, Push vs Pull, Kanban, VSM)
- Experience of using an MRP system
- Microsoft office capable (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
