**The Role**:
As a Network Coordination Officer in our City Highways team, you can make your own powerful contribution to the lives of people living and working in Westminster. Your skills will help to keep our highways running safely and smoothly, which includes many key routes through Central London used by thousands of vehicles and pedestrians every day.

You’ll help to coordinate the ever-changing landscape of roadworks, road closures, temporary structures and other features of a busy urban environment and ensure impact on the wider network is minimised. Colleagues and customers will look to you for advice and support on licensing and regulation, and you’ll have vital input to accident claims. This varied role also includes keeping track of finances and other administration. You’ll also have the opportunity to help us monitor and improve our performance.

**About You**:
Most likely from a background in customer support, you’ll be used to giving advice, dealing with complaints and coordinating investigations. As there’s a high level of customer engagement, you’ll need to demonstrate strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills. The ability to manage income and carry out debt recovery is important, and you’ll need to be ready to work with databases. Highly organised and capable of managing a busy workload, you’ll be good at identifying and resolving issues. While experience in the field of street works or network management would be helpful, it is not essential as you’ll be joining a knowledgeable and supportive team.
