**Your impact**:
Getting things done and making things work smoothly are needed for a fast-paced pioneering venture and the Workplace Experience Partner plays a critical role in achieving this.

This is a high impact role and you’ll need to use your natural tenacity and initiative in order to be successful. You will be responsible for all aspects of the workplace experience from setting up desks and managing meeting rooms to opening new offices and building visitor management systems.

You’ll be responsible for the smooth running of all office related activity, partnering with the parent company's workplace services teams, so it is essential you are organised, self-motivated and able to prioritise work proactively. You’ll build strong relationships across the organisation through your positive and flexible approach.

**What you will do**:

- Overall accountability and responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of the workplace globally - currently Switzerland and UK
- Schedule maintenance programmes and oversee all repairs when required
- Oversight of key suppliers
- Act as the point of contact for all members of the team and workplace services teams (including Security and IT) to help resolve queries and provide solutions to all facilities issues
- Facilitate the smooth running of the office by building strong relationships with all team members including partnering with business leads, DeepMind and contacts within Alphabet across a variety of processes and topics such as real estate, network and systems
- Optimise the workplace including layout improvements, setting up new desks, managing meeting rooms and improving the office environment
- Onboard new employees to the workplace so that they understand all security and health & safety requirements
- Provide support to employees visiting from other locations whilst they are in the UK
- Ad hoc projects as required

**Skills and qualifications**:
**Essential**:

- Operating in a similar role in a startup or fast growth environment dealing with high levels of change and ambiguity
- Strong decision making skills and ability to prioritise based on organisational needs
- Process management including ability to analyse and make improvements, using date and reasoning
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Strong understanding of systems and building workflows
- Understanding of Health and Safety, ergonomic and accessibility requirements

**Nice to have**:

- Experience working in large organisations and working to SOX requirements

**Hybrid working**: It’s hugely important for us to be able to share knowledge and establish relationships with each other, and we find it easier to do this if we spend time together in person. This is why we’ve decided to follow a hybrid model, and would **require you to be able to come into the office 3 days a week** (currently Tue, Wed, and one other day depending on which team you’re in).
