King’s is committed to delivering Sustainable Healthcare for All via our Green Plan. In line with national Greener NHS ambitions, we have set net zero carbon targets of 2040 for our NHS Carbon Footprint and 2045 for our NHS Carbon Footprint Plus. Everyone’s contribution is required in order to meet the goals set out in our Green Plan and we encourage all staff to work responsibly, minimising their contributions to the Trust’s carbon emissions, waste and pollution wherever possible.

The trust-wide strategy Strong Roots, Global Reach is our Vision to be BOLD, Brilliant people, Outstanding care, Leaders in Research, Innovation and Education, Diversity, Equality and Inclusion at the heart of everything we do. By being person-centred, digitally-enabled, and focused on sustainability, we can take Team King’s to another level.

As part of a specialist nationally commissioned CQUIN, Kings is responsible for providing Hepatitis services across Southeast London and Kent, directly driving towards the elimination of HCV by 2025. This post is focused on the delivery metrics of responsive patient treatment and delivering data metrics to evidence elimination metrics and evolve clinical pathways across primary and secondary care.

Core Hepatology services represent one of the largest groups of clinical hepatologists in the United Kingdom. Whilst supporting liver transplant services is a component of hepatology, each of the Consultants has a defined clinical area of expertise. Thus, all aspects of modern clinical hepatology and hepatobiliary medicine are addressed.

There are close links with other specialist services such as liver radiology with regular multidisciplinary meetings. In house post graduate education programmes, audit and morbidity and mortality meetings in addition to journal clubs are all undertaken regularly.
