We are seeking a reliable and organised person to join our team. You will be the first point of contact for the Practice. Your main duties will include answering phone calls, greeting patients face to face, scheduling appointments, and providing administrative support.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet and welcome patients & visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate department or individual
- Provide accurate information to callers and assist with their inquiries
- Schedule appointments
- Perform data entry tasks and maintain accurate records
- Assist with administrative tasks required in a GP surgery
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages
- Maintain a clean and organised reception area

To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Strong clerical skills with the ability to type accurately and efficiently
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Proficient IT skills including data entry and using computerised systems
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Previous experience in an administrative or receptionist role is preferred
