Mental Health Support Worker

Symbiosis Care Limited are looking for experienced **Mental Health Support Worker** to provide person centred care to clients in Hounslow areas.
You would be playing a pivotal role in providing excellent support and care for service users and your daily tasks as a Mental Health Support Worker will include assisting service users with personal care, medications, daily activities and leading a more fulfilled life.
**Minimum requirements to work with Symbiosis Care Limited as a Mental Health Support Worker**:
- You must have the right to work within the UK
- You must have a good standard of English and be able to communicate effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A warm, compassionate and personable nature with the ability to work with patience, tact and understanding.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively with co-workers and patients
- Ability to problem solve and de-escalate crisis situations
- Experience with Individual, family, and group therapy practice
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Working knowledge of clinical diagnoses for mental health population
- Computer literacy and ability to conduct data entry

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
- Some form of an experience of working with vulnerable adults would be preferably in a mental health setting
- Understanding of how mental health problems, learning disabilities and complex needs may affect day to day functioning
- Ability to establish and maintain rapport and liaise appropriately with customers, team members, clinicians and other external support services.
- Good IT skills and capacity to adapt easily to new systems
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures
- Commitment to, and understanding of equality of opportunity and the ongoing management of diversity
- Good knowledge of what best practice is in Health & Safety. Ability to work flexibly on a rolling rota at different sites and on a 24-hour shift pattern which includes weekends, Christmas and other bank holidays
