JOB PURPOSE

To ensure the effective and efficient planning and booking of all staff required on corporate events in accordance with the briefs set by the Corporate Event Team. To develop and nurture the SCL staffing pool to grow in line with business strategy growth. Support the corporate events delivery team with staffing requirements and improvements.

You will help grow the corporate business staffing department by introducing new ideas and concepts and ensuring that they are represented at the right opportunities in line with the business strategy plan.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Pre-plan the month ahead rotas for Supervisors alongside the Duty Event Managers

Pre-plan and confirm set up staff teams for the weeks ahead to HR Staffing team

Pre-plan and book all staff required for all corporate event requirements.

To liaise with all agencies used and manage them, setting standards ensuring KPIs are met In conjunction with HR.

To provide all event staff details for events to the event managers and supervisors

To champion the operation of the staff booking portal.

To support the wider HR team when required.

To look at ways to streamline the process around staffing and booking within corporate events.

Conduct and participate in recruitment evenings.

Plan staffing for all corporate events, working with the ratios and in line with budget allocation. Ensuring correct staff are booked for client event requirements.

Ensure all operational teams are kept up to date on staffing and any late changes.

To nurture and progress the pool of direct SCL staffing.

Maintaining the Silverstone Standard.

Support with the Accreditation and signing in and out of staff for events.

Processing hours and agencies pay.

Collating the financial info for fortnightly payroll and month-end

Support the planning of the training programme required for Event Supervisors, Managers and Casual FOH staff.

Attend weekly planning meetings and event briefings as required.

To support the staffing requirements of the wider catering department.

To communicate with relevant departments to ensure the success of the event.

**TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To work as part of the team to develop others and to support workloads to ensure the commercial and operational success of the events.
- Create a positive, proactive culture and environment within the department.
- Promote at all times the professional image of the company by ensuring high standards of both professionalism and personal presentation.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience working within a Conference and Banqueting, Hospitality or Event environment (desirable)
- Experience within a small, medium to large scale corporate and/or venue environment
- Commercially and operationally minded with a hands-on approach.
- Ability to take ownership and problem solve, is proactive and self-motivated
- Works well as a team player and uses their initiative
- Excellent eye for detail, with strong organisational, time management & interpersonal skills
- Flexible approach in working hours - including weekends.
- Competent knowledge of computer literacy in Microsoft products
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Willing to go the extra mile to ensure customer and staffing needs are met
- Motivates and empowers others to reach business goals
- Is clear and articulate in oral and written communication
- Recognises and rewards the contribution of others
- Demonstrates conviction in finding innovative approaches to solutions
