The Birmingham Neighbourhood Network Scheme aims to enable people to lead healthy, happy, independent lives within their own homes and communities. This is achieved through identifying, supporting and developing the community offer provided by groups and organisations within the constituency.

As Neighbourhood Networker you will play a key role in engaging and supporting community groups and organisations to sustain and build their current capacity and offer to older and vulnerable people in Sutton. Engaging with the community to ensure that citizens can access community-based support, improving their well-being and quality of life.

Building relationships with the local social work team and other key stakeholders, in Sutton to identify gaps in the community offer and provision for older and vulnerable people. You will help to support the development of new ideas and ways of supporting citizens and be part of the development of a citywide model for Neighbourhood Network Schemes in Birmingham.

Community engagement by way of events and workshops will be a key part of this role and as such experience of organising and leading on community activities would be highly beneficial.

You will be based from our Castle Vale office but will be required to travel to, and work within, the wider Sutton area.

The role is part time (21 hours) and is a fixed term contract until 31st March 2027.
