Technical Administrator

Allstaff Office Division are on the look out for an experienced Technical Administrator for our well-established manufacturing client in Glasgow. This position would be well suited to an enthusiastic and creative individual with a keen eye for detail. This is a busy role and would suit people who are used to a fast paced environment with the ability to multi-task.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with clients, architects, contractors and site managers, assisting with technical support and timescales.
- Retrieving information through interpretation of client’s design drawings, specifications and surveyor’s sketches.
- Acquiring precise site dimensions to ensure the customer’s order is manufactured accurately.
- Creating and revising CAD drawings and schedules with the information gathered to send to the client for sign-off and to assist the factory with manufacture and assembly.
- Specifying and scheduling all manufactured components individually required to assemble each item of the customers' order, using specialized software.
- Plotting drawings, schedules and project information required to makeup completed job lines for issue to the factory.
Person specification:
- Attention to detail.
- Accuracy and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong IT skills; proficient user of Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience with AutoCAD (or similar) is desirable but not essential.
- Understanding of manufacturing and production processes or previous experience working within a manufacturing technical team would be advantageous but not essential.
Hours of work are either Monday
- Friday 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, whatever would suit you more. This is an onsite role and based in the Whiteinch area.
