The Psychological Professions Network South East (PPN SE) is offering a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and conscientious psychology graduates with prior experience in Assistant Psychologist roles to join the team. The PPN is an NHS funded regional network that uniquely joins up psychological professionals working in NHS commissioned healthcare, training providers or arm's length bodies across the South East, with associated stakeholders including Experts by Experience. This is to maximise the impact of the psychological professions and support workforce development according to the strategic NHS agenda.

These Higher Assistant Psychologist posts will have responsibilities across the PPN, supporting the development, co-ordination and delivery of the PPN SE. This includes supporting workstreams, planning and delivering project work including evaluation and organisation, arranging meetings, contributing to organising events and promoting the PPN SE. The post-holder may also be responsible for managing social media accounts and both internal and external communications. Post holders will be expected to work remotely for the majority of the role but with flexibility to attend sites where this is necessary. There will be opportunities to discuss how post holders can gain one day per week of clinical experience as part of their overall job plan and relevant supervision and development will be provided to support this.

The post-holder will be accountable to Dr Bill Tiplady, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Director of Psychological Professions for Oxford Health NHS FT and PPN SE Co-Chair, and be supported through regular supervision. The post-holder will require excellent communication and organisational skills and to build relationships with others in the PPN including ourCo-Chair, Programme Manager, Expert by Experience colleagues, PPN subnetwork leads and psychological professionals across the SE region.
