An opportunity has arisen in the **Faculty of Engineering & Physical Sciences **for a **Level 3** **Project Administrator** who will support FASTNET, a new prosperity partnership between the Zepler Institute and an industrial partner funded by EPSRC UK. As part of the Faculty Operating Service (FOS) the post holder will be based in the Zepler Institute and will be responsible for providing effective and professional project administration as well as have an understanding of financial operations for the FASTNET’s principal investigator and the wider research team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the team from the start of the project and to support them as they grow. FASTNET is a five year project which may be extend into further projects.
You will have:
- Relevant experience and success in similar work in administration
- High level IT skills, including up-to-date MS Office skills
- Ability to independently organise activities (schedules, diaries, meeting arrangements, events etc), prioritising a conflicting workload and multi-tasking
- Ability to use own initiative and suggest and implement practical and effective solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to take minutes at meetings
- Support financial operations
- Organise events related to the project ( i.e. seminars, conferences and workshops)
