Business Services Coordinator

**Your new role**
We currently have an opportunity for a Business Services Coordinator to join our Operations Orders Team. This role focuses on the preparation and promotion of Statutory Orders, Notices and Agreements, delivered under the appropriate legislative framework, in order to safely maintain and improve traffic flows on the Strategic Road Network, and to deliver improvements that support economic growth and local communities; as well as providing a secretariat service to other teams within the Directorate. The role will require travel to our Manchester office.
**What you’ll be leading on**
- The preparation of Third Party Agreements, Orders and Notices under the Highways Act 1980 and Acquisition of Land Act 1981 ensuring that they are delivered on time and in line with defined procedures and standards.
- Deal effectively with objections received in relation to Statutory Orders, and organise and attend Public Local Inquiries, where necessary.
- Assist in the delivery of timely and accurate Traffic Regulation Orders to support effective, safe and efficient delivery of the Routine and Scheme Programmes, to time, quality, and cost.
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reconciliation ensuring that National Highways is receiving good value for money from its Statutory Advertising provider.
- Enable and support effective information management including the maintenance of documents and records in accordance with National Highways Policies and Procedures and legal requirements.
- Deliver an appropriate secretariat function to support the work of other teams within Operations. This work includes ensuring that customer correspondence is drafted and completed to the required performance standards for quality and timeliness, providing effective administrative support to the business, fleet management and developing and maintaining performance management information.
- Proven high level of literacy with exceptional attention to detail.

- Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst organising and prioritising own work loads.
- Ability to use standard office software products to enable the production and maintenance of a range of documents and spreadsheets.
- Ability to research and accurately report back on a range of complex legal issues.
- Experience in delivering efficient and effective levels of customer service to a diverse range of customers and stakeholders.
