My client is a rapidly growing private health care provider based in the North West with a theatre based in Newton-le-Willows.
Priding themselves on delivering 5-star healthcare to all their patients and clinicians and looking to expand their team in-line with their ambitions to further grow the organisation.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can provide customer service to our partners, patients and administrative support for our doctors and surgeons.
You don’t need to have worked in healthcare before. We’re more interested in you as a person, than your experience or qualifications
**Duties of this role include**:
- Scheduling and coordinating patient’s surgical procedures and associated appointments, as necessary. Arranging and liaising with anaesthetists, surgeons and theatre personnel to ensure the efficient running of theatres and treatment rooms.
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with your Surgeon accounts
- The review of Surgeon utilisation in theatres, producing reports to capture and analyse the experience of Surgeon accounts and using this to deliver improvements.
- Monitor usage of the facility and engage with your Surgeon accounts if usage is unusually low; less sessions are booked etc. pre-emptively discuss this with your accounts.
- Engage with Surgeon accounts in your portfolio that have concern/complaints and feedback to the Deputy Hospital Manager.
- Attend scheduling meetings with a view to getting the requests of your Surgeon accounts across to the team. Actively seek out space in theatres and ‘advertise’ this to your Surgeon accounts.
- Be tenacious and willing to find solutions to problems, in order to ensure all parties receive a 5-star experience.
- Generate and send accurate business to business invoices in a timely manner.
- Provide an ‘end to end’ service for your Surgeon accounts: booking, securing space, ensuring things run smoothly, and invoicing them accordingly.
- Pro-actively look to recommend improvements to your work processes by providing suggestions and solutions.
**It is desirable that applicants have the following**:
- Proven experience of working within a team within a comparable service environment
- Resilience and able to work at pace
- Experience of engaging with patients and internal and external stakeholders to provide and receive feedback
- Good customer service experience.
- Confident and calm personality, understanding and empathetic approach
- Good administration and customer service skills within an office or face to face
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, colleagues, clients
- Ability to work independently, flexibly, and professionally - dealing with stressful and changeable situations
- Experience in a job that has involved handling of data
- Maintenance of databases
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to standards
- Self-motivated and able to prioritise
- Organised and able to multi-task
- Proven IT skills, ability to demonstrate working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
