Overview:
Expleo Group have an immediate requirement for an experienced Training Officer to join our Preston team on a permanent basis to support the development of both existing and new employees.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver and/or coordinate learning and coaching sessions on site to learners and provide support and guidance to workplace supervisors to drive effective ‘On the Job’ training plans.
- Carry out appropriate learner assessments in accordance with programme requirements and awarding organisation expectations
- Regularly check and monitor learner progress giving constructive feedback and setting SMART Targets.
- Carry out and submit effective and timely Learner Progress Reviews (LPR) of individual learners in your
caseload, regularly updating trackers and the learners ‘On-the-Job’ Learning Plan in conjunction with the learner and the employer.
- Working with colleagues to provide ‘first line’ pastoral support to individual learners to meet their identified specific needs ensuring learners receive support specific to their individual needs
- Work with the relevant managers and relevant TEC CETT to continuously improve the design and delivery of the On the Job curriculum keeping it relevant and meeting the needs of the employers and learners.
- Liaise with TEC colleagues to manage and improve the quality of employer engagement in the quality of the apprenticeship.
- To safeguard children and vulnerable adults from harm and to report any concerns in line with the Safeguarding Policy.
- To provide support, advice and guidance to all learners and provide an inclusive curriculum.
- To undertake mandatory training and refresher sessions in relation to Safeguarding, E&D, Prevent, FBV, H&S, GDPR, Security and any other training considered necessary by the organisation.
- To work collaboratively and professionally with colleagues and stakeholders.
- To attend training / meetings as required by your line manager.
- To assist with recruitment and learner inductions.
- To ensure confidentially and security of all college documentation and information.

Qualifications:

- Level 3 and above in an Engineering discipline
- Possess or be willing to work towards relevant teacher / assessor qualifications.
- Level 2 in Maths or English

**Skills**:

- To work professionally and strive for excellence in all areas of work
- Be able to work under pressure and provide an excellent service
- Flexibility in working hours, may include some evening work.
- Behave in an ethical manner, providing a safe working environment.
- Communicate and work well within the team
- Focus on results and performance
- Suitable to work with children, young people and vulnerable adults.

**Experience**:

- Experience of delivering Level 2 and Level 3 in your chosen discipline
