We are seeking a dedicated and detailed-oriented Logistics Assistant to join our team. Your primary role as a Logistics Assistant is to provide essential support to the Logistics Coordinator, ensuring the seamless and efficient daily logistics operations, encompassing the storage and distribution of our products.

**Working Hours**: Each working week consists of 5 shifts (Monday to Friday). Each shift will be from 8am to 6pm. Each shift includes 1 hour of unpaid meal break.

**Total paid working hours per week**: 45 hours

**Basic annual salary**: From £26,910

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- **Shipping and Logistics**: Support Logistics Coordinator in transporting shipments from our in-house facility directly to our customers and to local and international fulfilment centres. Maintaining high level of accuracy and efficiency is expected and required. This may involve:

- Generate item ID labels via online portals and prepare the products and customs paperwork ready for the purpose of moving inventory to domestic and international warehouses.
- Assist in ensuring that only high-quality products are prepared for shipment in the appropriate packaging and labels as per in-house’s or Amazon's or other distribution centres’ requirements. Use specific packaging materials and adhere to labelling guidelines to ensure smooth order processing.
- Assist in preparing and handling goods to shipping courier providers.
- Process customer orders, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- **Inventory**: Assist in maintaining adequate inventory levels of goods and supplies for shipments to customers and distribution warehouses. This may involve:

- Retrieve the products from their designated bin locations in preparation for shipments to distribution warehouses and adjust the stock level on our inventory management system accurately.
- Process and quality check our products and stock them to specific bin locations accurately using our barcoded inventory management system.
- Support production operatives when inventory stock level does not provide an adequate buffer to meet logistics requirements.
- Perform weekly stock count using our inventory software to monitor the stock levels for our logistics, office, and production supplies.
- Input data into Excel templates utilized in logistic processes and suggest improvements to enhance data input efficiency and accuracy.
- Inspect and process returned goods, restock them into our inventory system and update our inventory software accordingly.
- Carry out weekly maintenance of all label printers and document printers.
- Keep track of incoming purchase orders, unload and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and shipping providers.
- Maintain proper documentation for all records.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and tidy working area.
- Maintain Health and Safety standards and promote safe working conditions and practices at all times.

**Skills, Qualifications, and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree (preferably in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field)
- Basic knowledge of logistic processes and/or previous experience in logistics or a related field
- Familiarity in inventory and order management software
- Prior experience with FDM 3D printers preferred
- Exceptional detail orientation, and the ability to execute tasks accurately with efficiency and timeliness.
- Strong numeracy skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills - strong team player
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages including Word and Excel.

You will be required to work both collaboratively to support a team, as well as independently and be able to use your own initiative. We work to tight schedules especially during peak seasons, so the ability to work under pressure is essential.
