**Business Development Manager - Events Technology and Registration Solutions
Basic Salary £45,000, OTE £65,000 + car allowance
Covering the UK, based in the South or Midlands**
My client is a well established and respected provider of events technology and registration services. They help trade show and conference organisers to easily manage their delegate registrations through technology solutions but also front of house people onthe ground who can manage the registration and customer experience process. They are looking for a new business focused Business Development Manager to cover the UK, working from home and become part of the senior management team within the business. If youare a great solution sales person and can confidently build new business this could be a fantastic opportunity
**The Role**:
- This is a home based business development role covering the UK
- You'll be selling event technology solutions and event registration services to conference and trade show organisers
- The organisation have an internal marketing team who help generate inquiries and inbound leads which will be passed to you to follow up but you'll also be expected to be really proactive and engage with the organisers of the UKs 2000 or so shows annually.
- There is lots of networking involved in this role and you'll often find yourself at the NEC in Birmingham or Excel in London meeting events organisers and gathering leads for future events too.
- This is a fairly small company who are part of a bigger group but the culture is passionate about what they do, positive and proactive and they also have regular socials and meetings to build team relationships.
**The Person**:
- We're looking for someone who is a great new business developer, comfortable networking, being proactive in lead sourcing and who can really live inside the market place to understand trends and challenges
- Location wise, we need someone living in the Midlands or South so you can get to either the NEC or Excel on a fairly regular basis for networking and visiting some of the biggest conferences and trade shows.
- In terms of your industry background, we're open to consider most business to business backgrounds as long as you're new business focused, are used to a consultative sales process and can relate to the people who organise and run large events.
- Great communication skills are a given but we also need you to be able to generate ideas, find solutions to problems and really engage the rest of the sales team as although you won't me directly managing anyone, you'll be the main commercial influenceon the senior management team.
**The Package**:
- A basic salary of £45,000 is offered
- On target earnings of around £20,000 on top are available but this is uncapped
- There is a car allowance of £5,000 per year
- 25 days holiday
