There’s never been a more exciting time to join us at North Yorkshire Council. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Public Health Practitioner Apprenticeship to work in our Public Health team.

Support, supervision, and mentorship will be provided through the apprenticeship and the successful applicant will connect with many public health portfolio areas. The post holder will develop and promote public health strategies, projects, and programmes. You will be provided with the necessary IT equipment to undertake your role and study e.g., a laptop.

**As this post is part funded by NHS England there are some key points you need to be aware of**:

- Applicants must currently not hold any public health-related qualifications.
- the apprentice must be able work at least 30 hours per week, preferably 37 hours per week, with a minimum of 6 hours per week off the job training (or equivalent over the duration of the apprenticeship) with additional protected study time.
