**Property Management Assistant Apprentice - Maunder Taylor Estate Agents**

**Brief overview of this role**
supporting H&S compliance.

**Apprenticeship Details**:

- Hours: Full time 8.30am - 5pm Mon-Fri (37.5 hours per week).
- Salary: £6.40 per hour.
- Employed with Inspire ATA (Host employer/ working at Maunder Taylor

**Specific Requirements**:
Applicant must be based within a 20 minute drive of our Potters Bar branch.

English and Maths GCSE to grade 4/C or functional skills L2/ equivalents.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
1. Client/Lessee Communication:

- Maintain a good working relationship at all times.
- Report to supervising Partner as soon as possibility exists of a communication breakdown and record all conversations, etc., in writing as appropriate.
- Liaise with porters, caretakers, building managers, concierges and other site staff at all time.
- 2. Complaints
- Receive building defect and other complaints.
- Issue works orders to contractors and chase as appropriate.
- Check bills for payment and distribute to relevant Property Manager for authorisation.
- Maintain communication with complainant(s)/lessees affected.
- 3. Health & Safety
- Be aware of Health and Safety requirements.
- Maintain up to date Health & Safety files, assist Property Managers with completing action plans for
health, safety and fire risk assessments.
- Assist with filing of all relevant Health & Safety reports, and ensure all compliance dates are logged.
- 4. General Office & Other Duties
- Know where all files/leases/management contracts are kept and be prepared to get out relevant
documentation to read or study as appropriate.
- Assist other property managers, secretaries and financial managers when they are under pressure.
- Answer telephone/ Filing / Paperwork.
- Take responsibility for maintaining own schedules, diary, and records.
- Be key holder and familiar with alarm detail.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with a diverse client group, confidently deliver short presentations, and produce succinct correspondence and reports
- The ability to research, analyse and reason logically and effectively, with a creative problem-solving aptitude
- Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Experience in working effectively within teams
- A professional, can-do attitude, with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service, and able to respond positively to challenges
