**Japanese speaking Human Resources Generalist (HY45509)**

A Japanese consulting firm in London is looking for a Japanese speaking Human Resources Generalist.

A fast-paced consulting firm that is expanding its business in the UK and other European countries, mainly in the IT and financial sectors, is looking to strengthen its organisation by hiring a Human Resources Generalist. This role isideal for those who wish to run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits and leave, staff evaluations, training, and enforcing company policies and practices.

**TYPE**: Permanent, full-time
**WORKING HOURS**: 9:00-17:00, Monday to Friday
**SALARY**: £40k - *negotiable depending on experience
**START**: ASAP
**LOCATION**: London (Currently Hybrid working - this may change depending on the requirements of business))

**Human Resources Generalist Main Responsibilities**:

- Performing routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
- Maintaining compliance with local employment law and regulation and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Assisting international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters
- Managing the hiring process of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with branch and departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
- Conducting background checks and employee eligibility verifications
- Handling employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
- Managing new-hire orientation
- Performing other duties as assigned
- +3 years of human resource administration experience in the areas of pay, benefits and leave, evaluation, training and enforcing company policies and practices
- Business level fluency in both English and Japanese
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HR systems
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field would be advantageous
