Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships

**Summary of job role and purpose**: The Associate Director will provide leadership and management support to the complex change programme in order to improve health outcomes for patients, whilst delivering sustainable, high quality and affordable Cardiac services. The Associate Director d will provide leadership, management and direction to the Cardiac Board and Working Groups to: - Assess the activity, commissioning financial and operational model across Cheshire and Merseyside to identify clinical gaps and variation of quality in the provision of Cardiology services. Analyse and interpret complex facts, data and situations to produce options, appraisals and recommendations, ensuring that relevant clinical/expert views are sought Plan, develop and evaluate methods and processes for gathering, analysing, interpreting and presenting data to provide an evidence base for change. Develop an overview of performance (dashboard) across the whole pathway and whole system as a means of assessing health inequalities and access issues.
This will consider Model Hospital and Get it Right First-Time outputs. Lead the delivery of agreed project plans including the National Pathways Improvement Program ensuring that any slippage is identified, and remedial action is taken to bring plans back on track. Contribute to the prioritisation process for Cardiac services to identify opportunities for service improvements and cost saving delivery and expected return on investment for the new models of care. Work collaboratively with senior clinicians and stakeholders from a range of settings to implement a clear vision for clinical redesign.
Identify and manage any risks to Programme & Project delivery. Engage with the key partners including the Innovation Agency as brokers for joint working agreements with commercial companies sponsoring pieces of work linked to the Cardiac programme Prepare Project Initiation Documents to support the work of the Cardiac Programme Board. Deliver Project initiatives to time, to quality standards and in a cost-effective way adjusting plans as required. Develop data sets and provide highly complex information to the Programme Board and wide range of internal/external stakeholders.
Build key relationships and network and communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders as part of the communication plan. Prepare strategic briefings and in-depth complex reports using programme management techniques. Manage other programme areas as directed in accordance with LHCH priorities.
