Radiology Clerical Officer

We are looking for a Clerical Officer to form part of a team staffing our CT Scanning reception areas between the hours of 8.00 am and 8.00 pm.
The postholder will mainly be based in our CT units but may be called upon to carry out administrative duties in other areas of the Radiology Department.
Computer literacy and experience in the accurate inputting of data is an essential requirement for this post. Training on in-house information systems, however, will be provided.
Previous NHS experience would be an advantage but not essential.
- To receive and deal with patients attending the CT, Radiology and Maternity Ultrasound Departments.
- To work in administrative offices in Radiology Departments ‘A’ and ‘B’.
- To work a shift pattern of 08.00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 20:00hrs part of a team to cover the reception desk in CT Department C.
- To ensure the care and comfort of patients and carers whilst in the Department whilst manning Reception desks.
- To maintain and upload information onto supporting databases linked to patient pathways, recording investigations and relevant radiological information.
- To make appointments for patients using the Radiology Information System and sending out appointment letters and appropriate documentation.
- To prepare all Consultant and Practitioner lists for Screening, Ultrasound, CT and Nuclear Medicine for both in-patient and out-patient sessions.
- To be proactive in ensuring that any potential breaches or pathway blockages are identified and immediately escalated to the relevant radiological modality Superintendent and Radiology Systems Manager as per the agreed Trust Escalation Policy

If successful this vacancy will require a Standard DBS check at a cost of £21.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary
