You will be working under the direction of the Head of Strategic Operations, and in close partnership with the Executive Operations Team (CEO, CSO, Finance Director and Head of Strategic Operations)

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional seeking a new challenge in a fast-growing tech company. This is a part-time role, 3 days a week (0.6 FTE) with the majority of time being office based and the option to work 1 day a week from home.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Develop Space Intelligence’s HR and People function, building upon existing processes, championing and implementing new processes and policies to support and grow our world-class team.
- Provide best practice HR advice and support to all staff across the company
- Lead recruitment and contracting to support the rapid growth of our team
- Manage the onboarding process for new staff, both in the UK, but also coordinating international onboarding as the company grows.
- Lead training of line managers in the company in good HR practice and management
- Develop Annual Review policies and procedures, in coordination with senior management
- Champion Health & Safety, DEI and Employee Experience, developing policies and embedding in our practice
- Implement a new HR online management system
- Support the continual development of HR policies and procedures

**Profile/Experience**:

- We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running in our friendly but busy team. As such you’ll have a minimum of 7 years practical experience in an HR role, and be ready to get stuck in from day one.
- Effective and enjoy working in a team, while also being self-motivated and directed
- Flexible, and excited to adapt to the needs of a growing business.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, effective at prioritising long-term important and short-term urgent tasks

**Required**:

- Experience of delivering the HR function in a start-up/scale-up business environment
- Degree in HR Management or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years practical experience in an HR role
- Experienced in using online HR systems
- Comfortable using Google Suite software (Gmail, Calendar, GDocs, Gsheets etc)
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
- Is demonstrably passionate about this role and the importance of it for the successful growth of Space Intelligence

**Desirable**:

- CIPD qualification
- An interest working in a mission focussed company addressing climate change and biodiversity loss
- Experience working in a technology company
