Communications and Engagement Officer

- Fixed 2 years**

**Location**: TBC, work location will be at one of the Practices of the Partnership. Own transport is essential

The post-holder is responsible for providing comprehensive, appropriate, professional, targeted, proactive and reactive communications and engagement support to the Partnership. This will involve developing and implementing an engagement, education and communications strategy. Working with all levels across the Partnership to manage internal and external audiences including staff, patients, residents, businesses, stakeholders, and the media. This role will ensure our messages, tone, and style are consistent, audience appropriate and timely across all channels

**Key Results**
- Increased level of patient engagement and feedback
- On time achievement of planned publicity campaigns
- Evidence of delivering a shift in engagement of both internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure the Partnerships values are reflected in both internal and external communications.
- Build positive relationships with key stakeholders, using the content produced and published
- Ensure there is consistency in the communications being created across the Partnership as well as providing guidance to functions in the creation of their communications to ensure they are meeting the standards set by the Communications Strategy
- Deliver specific communication campaigns within the strategic communications plan in response to demand.

**What we're looking for**
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Professional qualification in Communications, PR or Marketing - desirable **3 years’ experience in a similar role**:

- Demonstration of ongoing professional development
- Proven experience in media, corporate communications, journalism or related field
- Sound knowledge of communication and PR techniques
- Knowledge of IT including Microsoft Office, Website and Social Media platforms
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
- Ability to plan strategically whilst coping with the day to day.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of producing a range of marketing materials
- Computer literate and confident in social media and website technologies
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement effective change, while considering all stakeholders
