The successful appointee to this post will play a key role in Warwick Business School’s strategy, particularly around reputation and relationship building to ensure the School can successfully engage in ranking activities. The role involves liaison with international business media organisations, and the effective communication, both internally and externally, of rankings-related outcomes. Extensive verbal and written communication with WBS alumni and students, faculty and other professional services teams will be required and the interpersonal skills to relate well at all levels.

Applicants should be very comfortable with database management and the use of Excel to format and analyse data and suggest improvements to processes where appropriate. You will be joining a small knowledgeable team within the newly formed Global Alumni Engagement Team. It will be beneficial to have some experience or familiarity with the HE landscape, employability metrics and MBA/postgraduate rankings processes.

Please note that this role may require occasional travel to the WBS Shard campus in London and attendance at evening or weekend events with prior notice.

**Job Purpose**

To provide an effective administrative infrastructure and service for Warwick Business School by working collaboratively with Warwick alumni, students and other departments across the school to encourage engagement and maintain participation and success in rankings and to analyse, communicate and disseminate rankings outcomes appropriately both internally and externally.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Act as key contact for WBS with ranking organisations and effectively manage communications to and from these organisations, cascading information as appropriate.
- Liaising with the WBS Executive Office and the Marketing & Recruitment team, research, write, schedule and manage distribution of press releases to media contacts concerning rankings’ developments, news, launches, etc. for individual publications or journalists, both for pre-planned media supplements and internal communications for WBS and the University, including online postings and updates.
- Manage the processes of media rankings submissions, including:

- Collection and analysis of data from around the School to include liaising with the Marketing & Recruitment team, Masters Portfolio, Executive Education, Undergraduate and Doctoral programme offices, WBS academic Subject Groups, CareersPlus & Employer Relations, Global Alumni Engagement, Human Resources, the University’s Alumni team, and the Finance Office, to optimise rankings’ returns.
- Management and organisation of alumni and student engagement activities to maximise participation rates including initiating and undertaking telephone calling campaigns.
- Identify and maintain an archive of information likely to be pertinent to rankings, or other information gathering, undertake data analysis to identify changes and trends for WBS and its key international postgraduate markets.
- Assist with monitoring student satisfaction ratings in line with methodologies deployed by global league tables, in order to increase graduate recommendations.
- Provide administrative support for rankings-focused interventions with current students and alumni, including the organisation and promotion of events.
- Prepare and write in-depth analyses of published rankings’ results, benchmarking WBS and competitor performance to inform the Senior Management team and report to WBS committees for future actions and policy. This could include written reports, and verbal updates and presentations.
- Monitor the budget spend for rankings-related activities and engagement.
- Recruitment and line management of support staff, and temporary staff at peak periods.
