**Salary**: £11.70 per hour

Quest Employment client in North Northamptonshire is currently seeking a Payments Officer to join thier team. As a Payments Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate query management, financial reconciliation, and data management through the effective use of systems and processes. You will provide efficient and high-quality support services while serving as a key contact for colleagues and service providers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the development and maintenance of business processes to support senior officers and team leaders.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to less experienced colleagues to support their performance and development objectives.
- Arrange and organize internal, inter-agency, and inter-departmental meetings, ensuring all aspects are well-coordinated. Take meeting minutes as required and maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain information technology and office systems, including Microsoft Office and SharePoint, to ensure effective service delivery.
- Provide efficient and confidential support services to senior managers.
- Handle a wide range of detailed queries and correspondence referred by colleagues and partners, acting as a point of contact within the division.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage personal diaries and meeting schedules, ensuring business is completed within service standards and meets requirements.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and professionals.
- Gather data and financial information related to the work area to support the production of management reports and service performance information.
- Demonstrate awareness and understanding of equal opportunities and respond to the physical, social, and welfare needs of others.
- Perform any other duties within the broad spirit, scope, and purpose of the job description that are commensurate with the post's grade.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a finance or administrative capacity.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reconciliation.
- Ability to work well in a team and establish positive working relationships.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
