Then North Northamptonshire Council has a great opportunity for you as one of our Grants Officers

What will you be doing?
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Grants Officer. Reporting to the Principal Community Support Manager, you will be delivering support and help to our customers across North Northamptonshire. This is a role which will require you to work with directorates throughout the Council and beyond, including community groups and organisations, and voluntary sector partners.

Your focus will be on promoting, managing and overseeing an element of our voluntary sector grants programme, along with the associated monitoring and processing of payments, specifically the community grants available through the Shared Prosperity Fund. The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.

About you
- experience of working with various organisations such as local authorities, health organisations and the voluntary sector
- ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with other services, agencies and organisations
- ability to collate and interpret data for monitoring and reporting purposes
- outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
- an abundance of drive and determination

It would also be nice for you to have:

- experience of communicating with customers, from a broad range of backgrounds
- experience of budget management and/or experience in a grant funding role

The team is currently based in Kettering, but NNC has a flexible working policy and supports hybrid and home working options.

The ability to travel between sites across North Northamptonshire is beneficial to this post. There may also be occasions where you will be required to work outside of normal office hours.
