Are you a meticulous and detail orientated professional with a passion for payroll? Here at GXO we are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Payroll Operations Lead - is this you?
With the responsibility of managing and coordinating the end to end payroll operations for the UK & Ireland you will act as the lead for all payroll operations to support the efficient end to end processing of our payroll. With a drive for continuous improvement, you will be responsible for seeking ways to drive efficiencies whilst supporting your team to deliver accurate first time pay.
This is a **permanent role** based out of our head office in Northampton, however we’re happy to consider a level of home/flexible working provided you’re able to attend the office as and when required.
**Pay, benefits and more**:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to **£65,000** per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. **What you’ll do on a typical day**:
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process in a timely and accurate manner for circa 34,000 colleagues across Monthly, Weekly, Last working day and Lunar pay frequencies
- Support and manage your team of Payroll Specialists, Payroll Team Leaders and administrators
- Provide accurate and timely reporting and analysis covering SLA’, KPI’s, Pay Accuracy, Right First Time, Errors, Corrections and Volumes
- Maintain Payroll legislation including SOX compliance.
- Build and maintain relationships with 3rd party suppliers (ADP, HMRC etc), senior stakeholders, senior operations teams and HRBP’s
**What you need to succeed at GXO**:
- In depth understanding and Knowledge of Payroll and HR Systems, including integration (Global View, Success Factors Employee Central and SAP Payroll). If not, able to demonstrate a genuine desire to learn and be a self-starter in driving self-learning.
- Up-to-date knowledge of HMRC guidance and payroll rules and regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- ER experience with different collective labour agreements and environments
