We have an exciting opportunity to join our Group Division.

Job Purpose

As part of the Regulatory Affairs team, this role will help support McBride and its customers achieve Ecolabel accreditation of their manufactured cleaning products.

Your responsibilities will be

Main contact point between McBride and the Ecolabelling competent bodies, coordinating actions internally in response to feedback and participating in compliance audits.

Perform impact assessments where new information (legislative developments / proposed criteria revisions) may result in non-compliance of existing portfolio, develop action plans to ensure continuity of product supply.

To be the technical expert for Ecolabelling scheme criteria/requirements, providing guidance and training to the business as required, and responding to external customer queries.

To contribute to Regulatory Affair team projects, monitoring and implement new legislative requirements across the business according to legal timeframes.

To represent the company at trade associations and contribute to industry discussions on developing legislation.

To attend seminars/ conferences/ meetings as appropriate to ensure up-to-date information is available and circulated within Regulatory Affairs and the wider business.

Skills and education we are looking for
- A degree or equivalent, preferably in a biological science, chemistry or law
- 1-2 years’ experience working within a FMCG environment, ideally within regulatory, compliance or product development.
- Technical knowledge of Regulations that impact the detergent or chemical sector (i.e. CLP, REACH, BPR, Detergent Regulations).
- Good level of written and spoken English.
- Computer literate - good user knowledge of Word / Excel / PowerPoint. Experience working with SAP is advantageous.
- Experience of working with external bodies would be advantageous.
