Job Description

We are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our team in Engineering UK. The successful candidate will have significant experience in UK and EU competition law and will be responsible for advising the business and senior leadership on strategic matters.

About the Role

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-impact issues and shape the company's long-term strategy. You will collaborate with our public policy team and engage with regulators and policymakers on a broad range of issues. Additionally, you will contribute to developing mechanisms for training, compliance, and cross-functional coordination within the EU Competition team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage regulatory competition matters primarily focused on the UK, working closely with the local legal team.
  2. Provide expert advice to business and legal colleagues on competition-related matters across all Amazon businesses.
  3. Support the development of the company's long-term strategy on high-impact and novel issues.
  4. Partner with our public policy team and engage with regulators and policymakers on a wide range of issues.
  5. Collaborate with the EU Competition team to create frameworks for training, compliance, and cross-functional coordination.

This role can be based in either our Manchester or London offices, with some travel expected. We estimate the salary for this position to be £125,000 - £155,000 annually.

Essential Qualifications
  1. Qualified lawyer with exceptional academic and legal credentials.
  2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in UK and EU competition law.
  3. Demonstrated expertise in independently managing competition-related regulatory matters, particularly in the UK context.
  4. Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and meet critical deadlines.
